Dress to Impress

When you’re feeling blue, don’t let your wardrobe reflect it too. Put on your best clothes, some fresh makeup, spray on some perfume, slip into your most amazing pair of shoes and walk out of your doorstep looking like a boss. Don’t forget to admire yourself on the mirror on your way out.

You’ve got to admit that people tend to respect you more and treat you better when you’re well dressed; that’s just the way the world works. Recite a Mantra

Whenever you feel the jitters or you feel like you’re substandard, recite a mantra or a saying that will immediately perk you up. In the movie A Cinderella Story starring Hilary Duff, (spoiler alert for those who’ve never seen it) what got her to stand up against her stepmom was the saying, “Don’t let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.”

Everybody’s good at something, whether it’s playing tennis, cooking Italian food, or playing the ukulele. Just make sure not to get too puffed up about it – having too much self confidence can be a total turn off.

Chill Out

When you’re feeling especially down in the dumps and think so lowly of yourself, just step back and retreat into a world of rest and relaxation. You don’t have too worry too much if you failed at something or if someone thought you weren’t attractive enough. Moping about it won’t change things for you.

Instead, why don’t you treat yourself to a foot massage or soak in the tub with some candlelight. Just shutting out the world and pampering your body will make things so much better and make you feel really good.
